Registration of a company in Norway

Step-by-step instructions for company registration:

  1. Choose the right form of business from the options available.
(Not sure which form of business will be right for you? Check out our blog post "Enkeltpersonforetak or public limited company? - How to choose the best form of business" to help you decide)
  2. Complete and submit the application form at the bottom of the page.

Joint Stock Company (AS):

We will send the transfer details to the e-mail address indicated.

If your details are missing, you will be contacted by telephone.

We will prepare the stiftelse form within one working day and you will receive the document for electronic signature to your private altinn account.

Once the form is signed, a Stiftelse document will be generated, which is necessary to open a bank account.

The next step is to set up a bank account for the company 'under stiftelse', i.e. in the process of being set up. The process may take longer, so we recommend opening an account with a bank where you already have a personal account. Setting up an account can take from a few days to a few weeks.

Once you have opened a bank account, you will be given a number to which the share capital must be paid - usually the minimum capital is 30,000 kr.

Once the capital has been paid, the bank will issue a confirmation, which must be sent to us by email. This document is required for further registration of the company.

We will register the company and you will receive the documents for electronic signature to your private altinn account.

Once the form is sent, the office usually has 10 working days to register the company.

As our client, you will receive a dedicated account manager. They will send you contracts and detailed, clear step-by-step instructions on how to proceed.

    10: Signature rights

We enter who has the right to sign in the company. In companies with only one board member, we usually elect the chairman of the board. For companies with more than one board member, it is practical to elect each board member separately.
    * A joint signature means that more than one person must sign. Most signatures take place via altinn, so there is no need to be in one place together.
